Dave Treat is the founder and Chief Innovation Officer for Thinking Small.
Originally from Elmira, NY, Dave lived in northern Indiana for 25 years. After six years in a parachurch ministry, he founded GranDesign Studios, investing 17 years in graphic design, multi-media production and technology consulting for business and education.
In 2000, Dave joined the staff of Willow Creek Community Church, in South Barrington, IL. As a Division Leader and Area Pastor he equipped volunteers and created strategies for connecting and discipling men and women in small groups. He became Director of Innovation for Adult Ministries at the Willow Creek Association, where he was responsible for experience design, content, and speaker/trainer selection for the Group Life Conference and Small Groups Advanced Training.
In 2009 he launched Thinking Small, LLC to facilitate speaking, training, and writing activities supporting discipleship strategies for small groups.
In January 2018, Dave added web strategies for small business to the Thinking Small mix. Drawing from prior experience in graphic design and web communications, he understands the constraints of time and money faced by small business owners, and develops cost-effective strategies using the latest tools and techniques.
Dave and his wife, Vicki, have been married since 1985. They live just outside of Lima, OH.
